Kip Stowell firmly believed that the American Middle-Class was being endangered by the trends in political Capitalist Economics, as some journalists, politicians, and economists have admitted (Bernie Sanders, Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel, John Stewart, Stephen Colbert, etc.). By preserving a middle-class home, with middle-class antiques, decor, and art, the museum artifacts were displayed and maintained for the people to come visit, in a private house open to the public. An official Middle-Class museum was made by obtaining a town business license.
